Eiheiji Temple	Tojinbo Cliffs
This is the training center of the Japanese Soto sect of Buddhism, which was founded in 1244. A tranquil atmosphere pervades its 330,000-m2 grounds on which grow cedar trees some 700 years old.	This scenic attraction has been designated as a national natural treasure. The sheer cliffs are such a thrilling sight that before you know it you will feel weak at the knees.

Gokayama/Shirakawa-go Gassho-style Houses
Because of its heavy snow and rugged mountainous terrain, this village is thought of as being hidden away. Its traditional gasshostyle houses, as well as its carefully preserved old-time landscape and culture have earned it the designation of a World Heritage Site.
